The Geneva Motor Show is anticipated to signify a return to normalcy, despite the fact that no vehicle makers have confirmed their attendance.
At the 89th Geneva International Motor Show, the new Bugatti La Voiture Noire is on exhibit.
Following the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show in 2020, the 2021 event was also cancelled due to the pandemic and a lack of participation. The show, on the other hand, is set to return in 2022.
Organizers intimated in 2020 that the Geneva Motor Show might return in 2021 with a few tweaks to the structure.
After the Foundation of the Geneva International Motor Show (FGIMS) turned down a 14.1 million pound loan from the state of Geneva, the Geneva Motor Show was sold to Palexpo SA. The new organisers have stated that the new format will be a continuation of previous events.
“With the transmission of the tender packages, we are now formally starting the organisation of GIMS 2022,” stated Sandro Mesquita, CEO of GIMS. My team and I are quite excited to demonstrate our proposal to the exhibitors, and then to the general public. We sincerely hope that the current health condition, as well as the corresponding policy requirements, would allow us to bring COVID-19 to life.”
