PUBG 2
PUBG 2 is a terrific follow-up to the globally popular futuristic battle royale game PUBG. Some of you may believe it is the state of New York, but let us dispel that notion. The condition of PUBG 2 is not the same as the state of PUBG New. PUBG 2 will be completely different, with fresh and exciting features.
We're removing this based on a tweet from the data-miner stating that 'New State is not the eponymous PUBG 2 that's been expecting for a long time.' "The PUBG 2 thing (PC/console) is something we're still waiting for by 2022," PlayerIGN said in answer to a question about if New State is the follow-up we've been waiting for.
PUBG 2 RELEASE DATE
PUBG 2 is set to release on PC and consoles in 2022, with a slew of exciting features for players. Although no exact date has been set, the company has stated that the game is in development.
According to Krafton CEO Kim Chang-Han, a PUBG-related game will be released next year, followed by a survival horror game in 2022. The Callisto Protocol, which will show the "PUBG universe three centuries in the future," has now been confirmed.
PUBG 2 UNREAL ENGINE 5
According to fresh job listings on the PUBG Corporation website (thanks to @PlayerIGN), the company is working on a new AAA project using Unreal Engine 5. Although this is unlikely to be for PUBG 2, the initiative could be linked to the game in some manner.
PUBG 2 RUMOURS
Rumors about the creation of PUBG 2 are continuously circulating, but the one concerning who is working on the game is by far the most intriguing so far.
With the intended sequel being cancelled, all eyes are now on the Project Titan team. And, to be honest, it's looking quite good. Titan is being developed by Striking Distance Studios, the team behind the Callisto Protocol, and they have a lot of experience.
It's also possible that Krafton has enlisted the support of the original development team as well as some of the "experts" who were allegedly brought in to assist with the cancelled sequel.
However, given Project Titan was only mentioned for the first time in June 2021, don't expect to hear anything anytime soon.
PUBG 2 PLATFORMS
So far, Krafton has remained tight-lipped regarding the sequel, so we don't know when PUBG 2 will be released. Given that the previous sequel was set to be released on both PC and console, we can assume the same here.
Given this, given the platforms on which PUBG is already available, we anticipate PUBG 2 will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
