Everyone adores Rohit Shetty's cop universe and the films he creates within it. Following the enormous success of Singham, Singham Returns, and Simmba, Rohit Shetty is gearing up to introduce another outstanding cop, Sooryavanshi, to the mix. This will be Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's first film together after a ten-year hiatus. Despite being repeatedly postponed, this Rohit Shetty directed film may be released shortly, according to sources.

Sooryavanshi's debut appearance was announced near the end of Simmba. Since then, all Khiladi fans have been anticipating the release of this film. The film was originally set to be released in theatres on March 24, 2020. Due to the lockdown, this was eventually postponed because the producers did not want to release Sooryavanshi on OTT after investing so much in it.

As everything began to fall into place, the filmmakers planned for the picture to be released in theatres on April 30, 2021. On Instagram, Akshay Kumar also posted a video saying "a promise is a promise" and that Sooryavanshi will only be released in theatres. As the country was once again put on lockdown, this had to be postponed indefinitely.
