Who hasn't heard of the Dhoom film series? Dhoom has never failed to satisfy audiences since its release in theatres. The film is packed with thrillers, action, drama, and a smidgeon of humour, making it a must-see. As a result, this film is essentially a buddy-cop action film series. Not only the movie, but the cheerful songs of the movie have also won a lot of popularity and still today has a significant effect among the public. The tunes make you want to dance like it's the final night of your life.

Overall, the film did well at the box office, with a total budget of $36 million for the three films in the series and a total box office of $120 million. However, the Dhoom series' star cast has been constantly changing, with only Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra being constants over all three films.

Following the phenomenal success of Dhoom 3 in 2013, the audience is eagerly anticipating the fourth instalment of the franchise. Dhoom is the second highest grossing film franchise in Indian cinema as of 2016. Even though it has yet to be announced by the franchise's creators, Dhoom 4 has been a topic of conversation among audiences. As is customary, Aditya Chopra wrote the storey, will produce it, and will direct it with Vijay Krishna Acharya.

Many rumours have circulated among the audience, but the performers and producers of the franchise have chosen to remain silent in order to avoid deflating fan excitement. The directors have simply stated that they are seeking for the proper script and that they want to experiment with the storey line from multiple perspectives. 

According to India Times, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra have stated that they have not been approached by the producers, therefore there is a good probability that the Abhi-Uday Jodi would be trimmed down in the fourth series, which will be disappointing for Dhoom fans. Another rumour is that the filmmakers are attempting to elevate the film to the level of a Hollywood production. The film is set to be released in theatres on December 20, 2018.
